SEAMUS CUDDIHY

Originally from Kilkenny in Southern Ireland, Seamus qualified as an Art Teacher in 1979,
specialising in sculpture.

After moving to the UK he set up, taught in and managed a thriving Arts Centre for adults with
physical disabilities for 20 years.

Seamus works his original designs in clay as his preferred medium. Making his own moulds, he casts
limited editions in resin bronze, aluminium, marble, slate, iron, etc. He is also an experienced
woodcarver.

A number of Seamus's sculptures are held in private collections in the UK, Ireland and Holland. As a
member of the Surrey Sculpture Society, Seamus has exhibited extensively with the society.

Seamus draws inspiration from various sources e.g. observations of life and people. He is a committed
Christian and this is reflected in some of his work where he seeks to capture gems of truth and
portray the Father-heart of God in a tangible and accessible form.

Working from his studio in Surrey, Seamus is happy to accept commissions for small or large-scale
work.
